My name is Liam J Mahoney

Liam J Mahoney, is an illustrator, designer, and video artist located in the Brooklyn area. Liam specializes in the collaboration of traditional media and digital collage and painting. He uses this method of making to create evocative illustrations, portraits, and stylized character designs. Most of the time Liam is biking, drawing, or making, but when he’s not he is deeply interested in creating collaborating, and making with art directors and art makers. Liam is open to professional commissions and freelance opportunities.

worked with Boston high school students preparing them for the college experience, more specifically an art school experience. instructor for 9th and 10th graders teaching fundamental drawing, basics of design/ design practice, and illustration

ICA visitor assistant 2016-2019
Gallery floor educator working with visitors and creating a welcoming art environment. Also ensuring arts safety and preservation within the gallery

Student Life Gallery Manager 2016-2017
Managing both of the student-run galleries on massart’s campus, ensuring that students had the materials needed to hang and curate shows, along with jurying which shows had the chance to be in gallery spaces.

DS9 studio monitor 2017-2019
Working closely with the DS9 studio manager and working to provide community members with a flourishing studio environment, along with cleaning and preparing the studio spaces each year
